"From early airplanes to space"
Fine art exhibit of photographs, paintings and drawings, with :
- photographs of French astronaut Jean-Pierre HAIGNERE taken during his long space mission aboard the russian orbital station MIR (exhibited here only for the 2nd time);
- drawings of French artist Gisele SORNAS, depicting Wilbur and Orville WRIGHT portraits as well as the teamwork of Le Mans Sarthe Aero Retro during their long manufacturing process (10,000 hours of work by volunteers from early 2002 untilm the 1st flight of 22nd July 2005) of the WRIGHT FLYER 1908 flying replica (68 flights up to march 2008);
- paintings about WRIGHT brothers by 3 artists, 1 French (Francois BRUERE), 1 English and 1 American.
