"Automobile Club and Aero Club of Sarthe" the ACO archives shown for the 1st time to the public.
Sarthe Automobile Museum, 24 Hour automobile circuit.

What marvellous surprises if digging into these treasures of 100 years !
Photos, manuscripts, paintings, drawings,... A fabulous mass of documents showing the deep link having existed between automobile and aviation worlds. This was particularly true in Le Mans and Sarthe where aviation and WRIGHT brothers did meet with automobile and Leon BOLLEE during this fabulous period from June 1908 - arrival date in Le Mans of Wilbur WRIGHT - until May 1909 with the come of the WRIGHT family (Wilbur, Orville and Katharine) to be presented with the Prize of Aero Club of Sarthe, called the "Muse of Aviation" (sculpture of Louis CARVIN).
