Aero Retro presents the Flyer to visitors
Francois PAYEUR and Aero Retro welcome their sponsors and some visitors that day and make WRIGHT FLYER III 1908 engine testing with the expertise of Claude COSTENTIN, the teamwork motorist.
The following visitors must be noticed that day :
. Dr. Larry TISE, one of the American historians in charge of the First Flight 2003 Centennial in Kitty Hawk, expert of WRIGHT brothers story in USA, visiting Le Mans and Sarthe for the very first time;
. Mr. Gerard BOLLEE, Honorary President of Le Mans Sarthe Aero Retro, great nephew of Leon BOLLEE, the famous inventor and automobile builder who supported the WRIGHT brothers during their journey in Sarthe on 1908 and 1909;
. Mr. Michel DAIRON, sponsor of Le Mans Sarthe Aero Retro for power transmission devices between engine and the FLYER propellers;
. M. Marc DENOUEIX, member of Aero Retro who has organized the come of Dr. TISE to Le Mans and managed this meeting.
