The date of Sunday 8th June 2008 is not by chance choice as the 1st come to le Mans and Sarthe of Wilbur WRIGHT was on 8th June 1908 (monday). That day Wilbur me with Léon BOLLEE and did visit several potential locations for his aeronautical experiments; including Hunaudieres horse track and Auvours artillery camp. We xould commemorate the centennial of the 1st meeting of Wilbur WRIGHT and Sarthe and his 1st come to Auvours camp.
. Event organized during the "open days" of Auvours camp and 2nd RIMA marine corps. This annual event of Sarthe attracts many visitors. Its association with the Le Mans Sarthe Wright 2008 Centennial would drag probably more visitors...and potential spectators.
